It was a great holiday season, but I'm always happy to get back to a normal schedule. Decided to enter a couple of paintings into the Milford Arts Council Figurative Exhibition at the Firehouse Gallery, the place where I organize and coordinate sessions to work from the model a couple of times every other week. I entered two paintings, one of a clothed model and one of a nude that was painted at a Firehouse Gallery model session.

And I was thrilled to get the 1st place award for my nude figure! Thanks to Milford Arts Council

for putting on this show, to Dean Fisher for judging it, and to all the artists who participated.

This is a grand way to celebrate the new year. Understandably so, though both could have won.

Congratulations, Ginnie! You have come so far in such a short amount of time. Talent and HARD work! 🤸🏻‍♀️Penny

Thanks Margot and Penny, it's fun to celebrate the recognition with a great group of women. Though, to be fair, there was another honorable mention award winner who is a man, but he wasn't able to come to the reception.
